File No.RO-II/LDH/CON/IND/2205: Recommendations: It is intimated that earlier the industry was granted consent to operate vide no. Zo-/LDH/RO-2/WPC/2013/F-4527 dated 28.10.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018 under Water Act, 1974 & vide no. Zo-/LDH/RO-2/APC/2013/F-3415 dated 28.10.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018 under the name and location was M/s Shri Balajit Multimetals (P) Ltd., VPO Pawa, G.T. Road, Ludhiana
Now, the industry has applied for the fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 through online system alongwith requisite documents and also submit request letter stating that they have shifted their works from the site at VPO, Pawa, G.T. road, Ludhiana to village Tibba, Sahnewal, Ludhiana.
Accordingly, the site of the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 07.10.2017 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in manufacturing of M.S. Round/Flat etc.
2. The industry has installed re-heating rolling mill furnace attached with wet scrubber as APCD alongwith adequate stack height. The furnace was in operation & air emissions sample were collected during the visit and sent to Air & Water Lab, Ludhiana for analysis and results are awaited in this office. However, the industry has submitted the analysis report from Board’s approved lab as per analysis report parameters are within the prescribed limits.
3. There is no generation of trade effluent only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank.
4. The industry has not installed D.G set in its premises.
5. The industry has submitted approved building plans from the approved person of the Directors of Factories, Punjab.
6. The industry has submitted the certificate issued by DTP(L) vide letter no. 2383 dated 25.09.2017 stated that the site of the industry falls in Industrial Zone as per Master Plan Ludhiana (2007-2031).
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2022 with usual conditions.
