It is intimated that earlier the consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry vide reference no. CTE/Fresh/GRP/2016/4754964 dated 08/11/2016, which is valid upto 07/11/2018.
Now, the industry has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS in a totally paperless manner by uploading necessary documents as PDF. The industry was visited by officer of this office on 27/11/2017 and observed as under:-
1) The industry was not in operation.
2) The industry is a dry rice sheller.
3) The industry has installed 1 no. precleaner (Common) with 2 no. driers.
4) The industry has also installed 1 no. cyclone with precleaner of direr section as APCD.
5) The industry has provided 18ft approx wall height in front of rice husk discharge pipe.
6) The industry has paved the path of vehicular movement inside the industrial premises some of work of pavement of vehicular movement paths was under program.
7) The industry shall not generate any trade effluent.
It is further intimated that the industry has submitted approved Building plan from Joint Director of Factories, Punjab vide his office letter no. 9635 dated 19/09/2017. (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be granted upto 30/09/2022.
