The details of the case are given in the note of AEE, which may kindly be perused. As reported by Regional Office, the industry has been commissioned in the month of Nov. 2017 after getting NOC from PBIP. The wastewater generated from pickling process is being sent to M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana for treatment. The industry has also provided bag filter house with the buffing process and water scrubber with the pickling section for control of process emissions. In view of the report/ recommendations given by the Regional Office, if approved, consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Mudguards @ 5000 no./day, Bicycle Fork and Frame Brazed @ 2000 no./day, Bicycle Fork and Frame Welded 1000 no./day by using ER tube @ 13.40 MTD & CR Sheet @ 4 MTD may be granted to the industry up to 30.06.2022 subject to suitable conditions and following specific conditions that: i) The industry shall maintain the record of fresh water taken to its pickling process, trade effluent generated and quantity of trade effluent given to M/S JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana on monthly basis. ii) The industry shall obtain authorization of the Board under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for generation, collection, storage and disposal of hazardous waste of category 5.1 & 35.1 of Schedule-I immediately. iii) The industry shall recharge the ground water through rain water harvesting system with only roof top rain water and shall not use surface run off of paved or non-paved area for recharging of ground water. iv) The industry shall maintain proper record of generation of spent acid pertaining to category 12.2 and quantity of same be given to M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana. v) The industry shall not carry out electroplating, phosphating, passivation or any other metal surface treatment process except acid pickling without the prior written permission of the Board. vi)The industry shall comply with the guidelines of Central Ground Water Authority for abstraction of groundwater. vii) The industry shall get the monitoring of STP from Board lab within one month and submit the analysis results, please.
