The details of the case are given in the agenda note attached online, which may kindly be perused. The marriage palace has been established in the year 2012 without getting the NOC/ CTOs of the Board. Now, the marriage palace has applied for consents to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for capacity 500 persons/ function in total land area of 14916.71 sqm. The marriage palace has provided O&G trap followed by septic tank for the treatment of domestic wastewater and the treated wastewater @ 30 KLD is being used onto land for plantation purposes in an area of 2.5 acres. The marriage palace has obtained CLU from STP vide memo no. 851 dated 21.04.2016 for 3.4521 acres. Also, the STP, Patiala has granted approval of building plan to the M/s Kheewa Resorts (marriage palace) temporarily vide letter no. 85-89 dated 06/01/2017.
in view of the report/ recommendations given by the Regional Office, Patiala, if approved, consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the marriage palace for one year with suitable conditions specific conditions: 1. The marriage palace shall continue to comply with the provisions of the Solid Waste Rules, 2016. 2. The marriage palace shall comply with the provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules 2000. 3. The marriage palace shall get the building plan approved from the competent authority and shall submit a copy of the same to the Board within 3 months. 4. The marriage palace shall ensure compliance to the comprehensive guidelines for the regulation of noise/ sound pollution caused by use of loud speakers, public address system etc. issued vide Punjab Government, Deptt. Of Science, Technology & Environment notification no. 3/100/2013-STP (4)/145 dated 26.2.2014, please. (Competency : SEE)
