It is intimated that the industry is small scale, orange category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.09.2017.
The industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 under orange category. The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 15.12.2017 and it was observed that the industry has installed wet mix plant of capacity 1000 MT/Day which was not in operation during visit. The industry discharges only domestic effluent onto land for plantation after septic tanks. The industry has installed 1 no. D.G set of capacity 300 KVA with canopy. The industry has submitted certificate from DTP, Kapurthala, Vide no. 661 dated 02.06.2016, stating that the site falls on right side while going to Amritsar at Jalandhar - Amritsar road in which RMC and wet mix macadam plant is to be established. The site falls in notified local planning area Dhilwan, master plan of which is under consideration. Also it is mentioned that the project is established for 3 years and therefore NOC is granted for 3 years and after 3 years the company shall shift its plant from the site.
The industry is listed at Sr. No. 1411 of inventory prepared by Regional Office, Jalandhar. The industry falls in orange category and the competency to decide the case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer. I had checked the documents uploaded by industry personally and verified the same. I had personally checked the industry registration details and found correct.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.19 with suitable conditions, please.
