It is intimated that the above said industry was granted consent to operate No. CTOW/Renewal/JAL/2017/5646417 dated 17.07.2017 valid upto 16.01.2018 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 & No. CTOA/Renewal/JAL/2017/5646376 dated 17.07.2017 valid upto 16.01.2018 under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 30.11.2017 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during visit. The industry has installed 1 no. coal fired zinc smelting furnace with bag house filter and wet scrubber as APCD and sampling arrangements. The stack emission sample was carried out during the visit, as per the analysis report received by Zonal Lab endst no. 503-04 dated 15.12.2017 the concentration of particulate matter is 30 mg/Nm3 which is within the limits prescribed by the Board. There is no source of trade effluent generation only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. The industry has submitted approved building plan from director of factories. The industry has submitted actual user certificate dated 23.05.2017 valid upto 22.05.2022. The industry has submitted Municipal Town Planner certificate vide letter no 1933 dated 19.05.2014, which mentioned that the site of the industry falls in general industrial zone. The industry has submitted consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 & Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.11.2022. The industry is listed at Sr. No. 1679 of inventory prepared by Regional Office, Jalandhar. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar. The registration details were checked and found correct. The documents uploaded by the industry were verified.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2022 with usual conditions.
