It is submitted the pointwise reply of the observations is as under:-
1. The industry has uploaded copy of online, offsite emergency plans, safety, & health and environment policy, report (copy enclosed). The industry is only using one hazardous chemical i.e. acetic acid @ 250 liters/ month and the quantity seems to be very small as compared to its threshold quantity (storage) mentioned in The Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 (i.e. 50t).
2. The industry has installed physio chemical based ETP for the treatment of trade effluent to be generated from dyeing of viscos yarns. The industry has given undertaking that their ETP is adequate to meet with the revised standards of the Board and in case the industry failed to meet with revised standards, they will be upgrade/ modify their existing ETP. (copy enclosed)
3. The industry has installed package dyeing machines for dyeing of viscos yarns and erroneously it was typed as hang dyeing.
The compliance of the same is also enclosed in annotated form.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for six months with usual conditions and with special condition that in case, the industry failed to achieve the revised standards for discharge of trade effluent, the industry will modify/ upgrade its existing ETP.
