The application has been examined and it has been observed that......................
1) The industry has applied for obtaining consents for Processing of Garments @ 2500 numbers/day, printing of garments @ 2500 numbers/day and washing of cloths @ 250 Kg/day. However, as per the report of Regional Office, the industry is engaged in the processing of garments @ 3000 Kg/day and washing of cloth @ 300 Kg/day. A clarification is required in the matter......................
2) The industry has applied for trade effluent discharge @ 200 KLD. As per RO report, only 300 Kg/day of washing is being done. Accordingly, the effluent consumption per Kg will be 667 Ltr/Kg which will be abnormally high.....................
3) The industry has neither submitted the details of waste water minimization program adopted by it nor it has given the details of winch machines/drum washing machines if any provided along with liquor ratio. Also the details of other wet process machines provided by the industry are given. In case, the industry has printing infrastructure then the details of effluent generation and effluent re-use are also required to be provided..................... The industry is also required to provide the details of indirect/direct cooling water being used as well as details of steam condensate recovery if any made.................. In view of above, if approved, show cause notice may be issued to the industry with hearing before SEE, ZO-2, Ludhiana please.
