It is intimated that, the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2017/6024025 dated 23.09.2017 valid upto 22.12.2017 and this office was asked to collect the samples of emissions within 15 days positively so as to check the claim of the industry regarding servicing of their APCD and improvement in emission qualities if any happened with the changes made and give further recommendations accordingly.
Now, the industry has applied for extension in validity of consent to operate under Air Act, 1981. To verify the facts, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 27.02.2018 and it was observed that:-
1) The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in manufacturing of auto phosphating casting process.
2) The industry uses scrap as raw material.
3) The industry has one induction furnace of capacity 0.5 Ton/heat.
4) The industry has provided hood connected to wet scrubber as APCD. During the visit induction furnace & APCD was found in operation and one no. air emission sample was collected. As per analysis report the concentration of SPM = 62 mg/Nm3 , which is within the prescribed limits of the Board.
5) The industry has installed one no. DG set of capacity 75 KVA, which is equipped with canopy.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2021 with usual conditions....
