File No. R.O-II/LDH/CON/IND/396:Recommendations : It is intimated that the industry was granted consent vide no. R13LDH2CTOW562631 dated 09.12.2013 valid upto 31.03.2018 under Water Act, 1974 & vide no. R13LDH2CTOA562473 dated 24.12.2013 valid upto 31.03.2018 under Air Act, 1981 for the manufacturing of product Forging & Motor vehicles/tractor parts @ 220 MTPD and steel scrap @ 48.4 MTPD.
Now the industry has applied for the varied consent under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith documents for the production capacity i.e. Forgings of Auto/vehicle and tractor parts @ 130 MTPD and steel scrap @ 22 MTPD.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 13.03.2018 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in process of forgings of Auto/vehicle and tractor parts.
2. The industry has installed three heat treatment furnaces and six hammers with billet heaters and two forging presses of capacity 4000 Ton & 8000 Ton, with adequate stack heights and one forging section with adequate stack height and has installed six shot blasting machines with bag house as APCD each with adequate stack height.
3. The industry has installed three D.G. sets of capacities 380 KVA, 380 KVA & 500 KVA, all D.G sets are fitted with canopy.
4. There is no generation of trade effluent from the process and only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation/gardening/lawns after STP installed in its sister concern M/s Happy Forging Ltd (Machining Div.). The effluent samples collected by the AEE on 07.11.2017, as per the analysis report, parameters are within limits.
5. The industry has submitted building plan stamped by Deputy Director of Factories, Punjab.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2023 with usual conditions please.
