The industry is a small scale red category unit. The industry has applied for obtaining fresh ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 27.03.2018 & verified the above mentioned facts & also observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit & engaged in phosphating process & painting of bicycle parts.
2. The industry has installed 1 no. electric paint booth with water curtain as APCD and 1 no. electric baking oven with adequate stack height.
3. The industry has not installed any D.G set.
4. The phospahting process was not in operation during visit. The industry has installed the phosphating plant but would run it after getting ‘Consent to Operate’ from the Board.
5. The industry has installed water meter at the source of water supply to the polluting process and the reading during visit was 0.03 KL.
6. The industry has provided collection tank of 3000 ltr for storage of trade effluent generated.
7. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., for lifting its trade effluent @ 10000 ltr/month.
8. The domestic effluent is being discharge into sewer.
9. The industry has submitted the building plans approved from competent person under Director of Factories, Punjab.
In view of above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 upto 30.06.2022 with suitable condition as per policy of the Board please.
