In view of facts mentioned above, it is recommended that
1. Notice issued to the industry u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, may be dropped. 2. The industry may be granted Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for short term, i.e. upto 30.09.2018, subject to suitable conditions and following additional conditions: a) The industry shall plant more trees along its boundary in the coming season. b) The industry shall obtain Environmental clearance under the EIA notification dated 14.09.2006. c) The brick kiln shall ensure that no air pollution is being in the area due to its operation. If the BKO was found emitting black smoke, action under the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 will be taken immediately for closure of the unit without any further notice. d) The industry shall obtain permission u/s Section 79 of the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995, from GMADA regarding continuation of its operation at said site, within 03 months. e) The industry shall ensure that the recommendations mentioned in the feasibility report issued to it by the PSCST are implemented properly |
