Earlier CTO under Water Act, 1974 was extended upto 28/12/2017. The directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were issued to de-seal the plant temporarily for six months period vide this office letter no. 2535-37 dated 04/07/2017. Now the industry has applied for obtaining further extension in validity of consent. The industry was visited by RO on 20.02.2018 and observed that the industry is a hot Mix Plant engaged in a process of manufacturing premix and was not in operation during the visit. If approved CTO under Water Act, 1974 may be extended upto 30/09/2022 and Directions be issued u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be dropped. |
