It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 for discharge of trade effluent @ 110 KLD. During visit on 27/03/2018, it was observed that as per record maintained by the industry, the maximum quantity of trade effluent discharged for the month of March till date was 74.63 KLD. The industry has developed about 2.5 acres plantation area as per Karnal Technology, which is adequate to utilize the treated trade effluent generated @ 110.0 KLD at full capacity. It is once again recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31/03/2019 for manufacturing of Parboiled Rice @ 3 TPH & Steamed Rice @ 3 TPH by using Paddy @ 8 TPH with suitable conditions as per the policy of the Board . |
