It is intimated that the above industry is a marriage palace established and commissioned without obtaining NOC/Consents of the Board. Now the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for operation of Marriage Palace. The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued. The industry has submitted a PSPCL bill as date of commissioning proof.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 13/04/2018 and observed as under:-
1. The site is a marriage palace having capacity of approx 200-250 peoples.
2. The marriage palace has provided septic tank for the treatment of effluent generated from washrooms.
3. The marriage palace has provided separate oil & grease trap along with septic tank for treatment of effluent generated from kitchen.
4. The marriage palace is further using its effluent from septic tank onto land for plantation and gardening inside the green areas of marriage palace.
5. The marriage palace has not installed any D.G. set.
As per DTP, Gurdaspur vide his office letter no. 229 dated 22/02/2018, reported that as per Master Plan, Gurdaspur (2010-2031) the site falls in mixed land zone and it is allowed to operate marriage palace at this site. (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be grated upto 30/09/2022 in the light of latest policy of the Board circulated vide Head Office letter no. 19650-19761 dated 30/04/2013 with the special condition that the Marriage palace will install the STP as and when the PPCB finalizes the treatment technology for the waste water of the Marriage Palaces.
