AS per record, the industry is a large scale orange category unit. . The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 31-03-2018 for manufacturing of Biscuits @ 300 MTD under medium scale orange category.
Now, industry has applied for varied consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 under large scale orange category. The industry was visited by AEE of RO on 13-12-2017 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in manufacturing of biscuits.
2. The industry has installed effluent treatment plant consisting of collection tank- anaerobic tank-aeration tank-clarifier-sludge drying bed for treatment of effluent generated from process which was in operation during visit.
3. The samples of treated trade effluent from final outlet of ETP were collected during visit and as per sample analysis report, pH-7.2, TSS-18 mg/l, COD-112 mg/l, BOD-16 mg/l, O&G-BDL which reveals that various parameters are within prescribed limit for such discharges.
4. The trade effluent and domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer through ETP.
5. The fixed assets of the industry has increased from Rs. 79 crore to 93 crore during period from 2015 to 2017.
The industry has submitted list of machinery as per which the industry has changed fuel from furnace oil to LPG gas in oven furnaces and other machinery which is non-polluting in nature and deposited NOC regularization fees of Rs. 18000/-.
RO recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2021 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
Keeping in view of the report / verification made by RO if approved, onsent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2021 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
