• It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit and was engaged in the process of manufacturing of valves & cocks at site.
• The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 which are valid upto 30.06.2018.
• Now the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
• The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 25.04.2018 and it was observed that;-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in process of manufacturing of valves & cocks at site.
2. The industry has installed 1 no. coal fired pit furnace with adequate stack height, 1 no. shot blast machine with bag filter house as APCD, 1 no. tempering furnace and same were in operation.
3. The industry has also installed 1 no. D.G Set of 62 KVA with canopy at site. .
4. There is no source of generation of trade effluent, only generation of domestic effluent and it has connected the same into sewer for the disposal of the same.
1. The industry is listed at Sr. No. 3217 of inventory prepared by Regional Office, Jalandhar. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that:-
1. Extension in validity granted under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 applied by the industry may be further extended to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions please.
2. Extension in validity granted under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 applied by the industry may be further extended to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions please.
