It is intimated that the unit is a small scale, marriage palace and falls in orange category (File No. 1418) as per policy of the Board. The registration details were checked and found correct. The documents uploaded by the industry were verified.
Earlier the marriage palace has granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide no. ZO/JAL/Hotel/CTO/WPC/2011/F-503 dated 07.02.2011 valid upto 31.12.2015 Vide no. ZO/JAL/Hotel/CTO/APC/2011/F-493 dated 07.02.2011 valid upto 31.12.2015 respectively. The hotel was issued notice u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 with opportunity of personal hearing Worthy Chief Environmental Engineer Jalandhar on 17.04.2018 and proceedings are awaited.
Now the marriage palace has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981. The marriage palace deposited Rs. 75000/- vide R.No. 55/4578 dated 01.05.2018 under Water Act, 1974 Rs. 75000/- vide R.No. 56/4578 dated 01.05.2018 under Air Act, 1981 Rs. 7000/- vide R.No. 57/4578 dated 01.05.2018 as NOC regularization fees which is adequate upto 31.12.2020.
The marriage palace was visited by AEE of this office on 01.05.2018 and observed that the marriage palace was in operation during visit. The hotel is discharging its domestic effluent into final collection tank and then pumped into MC sewer. The pumping is through level indicator as such no discharge was observed during visit. The marriage palace has installed 3 no. D.G set of capacity 160 KVA fitted with canopy. The hotel has already submitted approved building plan from MC Jalandhar. The hotel has submitted letter from MC Jalandhar for discharged its sewage into MC Sewer.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.12.2020 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
