Sr. No. Decisions of personal hearing dated 09/04/2018 Compliance
1. The industry shall apply for duplicate passbook to the registration committee of Punjab Pollution Control Board, immediately. The representative of the industry informed that they have applied for duplicate passbook. A copy of receipt of application form is also attached herewith. For receipt note dated 03/05/2018 may kindly be perused.
2. The industry will not operate its expansion project without providing requisite pollution control devices and without getting consent to establish (NOC) / operate of the Board as required u/s 25 of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 21 of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as well as without getting authorization of the Board under the provisions of Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. The industry has removed the machinery installed for manufacturing/assembly of lead acid batteries in compliance to the decisions of personal hearing. The industry was advised to obtain consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as well as authorization under the provisions of Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 before commissioning of the unit.
3. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Fatehgarh Sahib shall process NOC application of the industry, on merits within the time frame prescribed by the Board.
NOC application of the industry has been processed on merits.
4. The registration committee of Punjab Pollution Control Board be requested to issue duplicate passbook to the industry to avoid any misuse.
No action required at RO level.
