Earlier CTO under Air Act, 1981 was extended upto 31/03/2018. Now the industry has applied for obtaining further extension in validity of same. The industry was visited by RO on 04/04/2018 and observed that during visit the industry was in operation and only dry rice shelling was in progress. The industry is not manufacturing parboiled rice or stream rice and presently is only engaged in processing of Govt. Paddy. During the visit the boiler of the industry was not in operation. The industry has installed one no. boiler of steam generating capacity 12 TPH, rice husk as fuel used and the industry has provided trima cyclone as APCD. However, boiler it was not in operation. The industry has installed 2 nos. shelling sections and 2 nos. drier sections and cyclones as APCD are provided separately with each section. The industry has installed 3 nos. D.G. sets (1x 600KVA, 1x320KVA & 1x725KVA) & all of them are provided with canopy. The industry has provided enclosed room for the storage of rice husk. The industry has provided elevator for carrying rice husk into boiler furnace. The industry has provided enclosed conveyor belt for carrying ash at ash storage yard. RO reported that the industry is complying with the conditions of consent to operate granted earlier under both Acts as well as code of practice framed for rice shellers/saila plants. In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended upto 31/03/2020. (Comp. Hon'ble Chairman of the Board) |
