The industry was earlier granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-II/LDH/RO-IV/WPC/2010/F-22 dated 23.08.2010 valid upto 30.06.2018. Now the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974. The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 22.05.2018 & observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in electroplating of various Machine Parts.
2. The industry has installed 02 no. separate sections of wet process, each comprising of electroplating unit & dhols. The industry has provided a single metered source for consuming fresh water for both the sections. reading of which was 219.5 Kl.
3. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana (CETP) for lifting its trade effluent @ 12,200 Ltr/month As per the record submitted by the industry, the month wise detail of fresh water consumption and effluent lifted from wet process for the last six months are as below:

As per the record, the quantity of water consumed for wet process is in consonance with the quantity of effluent lifted to JBR Tech. Pvt. Ltd.
4. The industry has provided a tank of capacity appox. 5500 ltr for storage of effluent generated from electroplating section, which was approx. 33% filled.
4. Domestic effluent generated from the industrial premises is discharged into sewer.
5. The gross fixed assets of the industry have increased from Rs. 09.13/- Lacs as on 31.08.2013 to Rs. 47.91 Lacs as on 31.03.2018 with increase in plant & machinery from Rs. 05.07 Lacs to Rs. 4.25 Lacs. The industry has submitted adequate NOC regularization fee amounting Rs. 3,000/- vide R no. 04/4765 dated 18.05.2018 for increase in assets.
6. The industry has submitted building plan prepared by competent person from Director of Factories, Punjab
7. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/771 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana.
8. The industry is complying with the previous consent conditions granted to the industry under Water Act, 1974.
In view of above, it is recommended that the 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board please. |
