File Note: It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit and was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. R14LDH2CTOW1014404 dated 31.03.2014 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R14LDH2CTOA1014385 dated 31.03.2014 upto 30.06.2018 for production of drawing of bar @ 06 TPD. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. It is intimated that the site of the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 14.05.2018 and it was observed that:- 1. The industry was in operation and engaged in the process of wire drawing & carries out pickling of raw material by using Sulphuric acid. 2. The industry has installed water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process area and reading noted to be 138.54 KL. 3. The water auditing for the industry was done. As per record the reading was 131.00 KL on 01.01.2018. As such the industry has consumed about 07.54 KL of fresh water in the year 2018. The industry has got lifted 7.5 KL of effluent till date to the M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana. As such the industry was found complying. 4. The industry has provided one underground tank of capacity 1000 ltr for storage of its trade effluent and about 300 Ltr. effluent was lying stored at the time of visit. 5. The industry has made agreement with re-processors of spent acid i.e. M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana @ 1500 Ltr./Month for its spent acid. 6. The industry has maintained the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana. 7. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer. 8. The industry has not installed any DG set in its premises. 9. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it. Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed to the industry for 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
