It is intimated that earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no R14LDH2CTOW1020641 dt 1.4.2014 valid upto 30.6.2018.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 alongwith documents through OCMMS. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.6.2023.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 23.5.2018 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed 3 barrels, 3 caustic dhols and 1 acid bath drum.
3. The industry has made an MOU with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana @ 4000 Ltr/M for the disposal of trade effluent generated from process.
4. The industry has provided water meter which had a reading of 218.02 KL during the visit and as per record and reading on 1.12.2017 was 192.60 KL.
5. Thus 218.02 KL-192.60 KL= 25.42KL water was consumed since 1.12.2017 and 23500 ltr effluent have been lifted. Thus the industry is properly lifting its effluent to M/s JBR Tech Pvt Ltd, Ludhiana.
6. The industry has provided storage tank of trade effluent of capacity 2000 ltr and during visit about 1200 ltr effluent was stored in it.
7. The industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted to it.
In view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.6.2023 with suitable conditions please.
