It is intimated that:-
• The industry has applied for consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the first time. The industry is a small scale orange category unit and is engaged in forging of engg. goods. The industry has submitted electricity bill stating the date of commencement of electric connection as 17.01.2017 as the proof of date of commissioning. The industry has submitted certificate from ATP, Ludhiana (Zone-B) stating that the site of the industry at Khasra No. 17//8-13 falls in heavy & medium industrial zone. The Khasra No. has been matched with the registry submitted by the industry.
• The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 29.05.2018 and it was observed as under:-
1) The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in forging of auto & tractor parts.
2) The industry has installed one no. oil fired furnace with stack of adequate height.
3) The industry has installed one no. hammer of capacity @ 1.25 Ton, 02 nos. power presses and other allied non-polluting machinery.
4) The industry has also installed one shot blasting machine with inbuilt bag filter as APCD and with stack of adequate height.
5) The industry has not installed any DG set with in premises.
6) No trade effluent is generated from the premises of the industry. Entire cooling water is re-circulated and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
7) The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab.
8) The industry has deposited consent fees from 17.01.2017 (i.e. electric connection commencement date) i.e. adequate upto 17.01.2023.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2022 with appropriate conditions, please.
