As discussed with your goodself, it is submitted that the industry is complying with the code of practice framed by the Govt. of Punjab for the rice shellers.
Further, as per decision of personal hearing, RO shall decide the consent applications submitted by the industry under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, on merits.
In view of above, it is recommended that:
1. The industry may be granted ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30/09/2022 for processing of paddy @ 3.0 T/hour with drier, subject to suitable conditions.
2. After grant of consents, report will be sent to ZO for dropping of notices issued u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
