It is intimated that earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. No. R14LDH2CTOW882461 dt 8.3.2014 valid upto 30.6.2018 and No. R14LDH2CTOA882393 dated 8.3.2014 valid upto 30.6.2018.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith documents through OCMMS. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.6.2023.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 9.6.2018 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of cycle parts.
2. The industry has provided 7 caustic drums, 1 nickel chrome section and 3 acid dip drums.
3. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Tech Pvt Ltd, Ludhiana @ 5000 ltr/M for the lifting of trade effluent generated from process.
4. The industry has provided water meter which had a reading of 102.9KL during the visit. As per record reading on 1.12.2017 was 78.57 KL. Thus water consumed =102.9KL-78.57KL=24.33 KL.
5. The industry has lifted 23500 ltr effluent to CETP operator since 1.12.2017.
6. The industry has provided storage tank of capacity 5000 ltr which had about 1000 ltr in store.
7. The industry has provided one powder coating booth with inbuilt cyclone as APCD and diesel fired oven with adequate stack heights.
8. The industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted to it.
In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.6.2023 with suitable conditions please.
