File Note: It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. R14LDH2CTOW928054 dated 08.03.2014 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R14LDH2CTOA928017 dated 08.03.2014, which are valid upto 30.06.2018 for manufacturing of fork @ 400 numbers/day, frame @ 400 numbers/day, zinc-plating of cycle parts @ 600 Kg/day. Now the industry has applied renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has deposited Rs. 900/- as NOC regularization fee, which is adequate on account of increase in other assets due to purchase of car. Now, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 07.06.2018 and it was observed that:- 1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of cycle & auto parts. 2. The industry is carrying out zinc-plating. 3. The industry has installed water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process area and reading was noted to be 57.58 KL. 4. The water auditing for the industry was done. As per record the reading was 30.24 KL on 01.01.2018 and around 1500 Ltr. of trade effluent was lying stored in the industry. As such the industry has consumed in process about 27.34 KL of fresh water in the year 2018. The industry has got lifted 28 KL of effluent till date to the CETP operator and around 0.7 KL of trade effluent was lying stored in the storage tank provided by the industry. As such the industry was found complying. 5. The industry has provided 02 storage tanks of capacity 2,000 ltr. for storage of its trade effluent and about 700 Ltr. effluent was lying stored at the time of visit. 6. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana @ 5,000 Ltr/Month for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from process. 7. The industry has provided separate register and is maintaining the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana. 8. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer. 9. The industry is complying with the conditions of consent earlier granted to it. Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
