Earlier the industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-I/LDH/RO-I/WPC/2013/F-4400 dated 02.09.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-I/LDH/RO-I/APC/2013/F-3388 dated 02.09.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018. Now, the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited by officer of this office on 07.06.2018 and observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit & is engaged in manufacturing of threaded bar.
2. The industry has made an agreement @ 7500 ltr./month with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana (CETP) for lifting of its trade effluent.
3. The domestic effluent @ 0.4 KLD of the industry is being discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has lastly lifted its trade effluent @ 2000 ltr vide no. 306962 dated 28.05.2018.
5. The industry has maintained proper record of water meter reading(During visit 24.6 KL) and effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
6. There is no source of air pollution boiler/furnace/ D.G set etc.
7. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/470 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana.
8. The industry has submitted building plan prepared by approved Architect from Director of Factories, Punjab.
9. The industry is complying with the consent conditions granted to it under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board please.
