It is intimated that the industry was granted consents vide no. R14LDH2CTOW1225669 dated 28.05.2014 valid upto 30.06.2018 under Water Act, 1974 & vide no.
R14LDH2CTOA1225610 dated 28.05.2014 valid upto 30.06.2018 under Air Act, 1981.
Thereafter, the industry was visited by 21.02.2017 and report sent to Zonal Office vide this office letter no. 479 dated 01.03.2017. Accordingly, consent to operate granted under Air Act, 1981 was revoked.
Accordingly, the industry was given personal hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer, of the Board on 12.06.2017 and after hearing it was decided as under :-
1. The industry shall apply for consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 within 07 days.
2. The industry will ensure that no black smoke is emitted in future.
3. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office will process on merit.
Now, the industry has applied for the consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents. The industry was visited by AEE on 07.06.2018 and it was observed that :-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed one forging hammer of capacity 1.5 TPH with oil fired furnace.
3. The industry has installed one D.G. set, same was found sealed by the Board.
4. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the consent under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.6.2023 with usual conditions. Although during visit no black smoke was observed from its stack, hence it is proposed that a suitable amount of bank guarantee may be imposed as an assurance not to emit black smoke in future.
