The industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 30.05.2018 and after hearing it was decided that Environmental Engineer, Regional Office to verify the contention of the industry & submit its report within 03 days.
To check the compliance of hearing the industry was visited by AEE on 12.06.2018 and it was observed that the service station was in operation and has installed ETP for treatment of its trade effluent generated from washing section, same was in operation. The water meter installed at the outlet of ETP and re-circulation tank. The service station has dismantled soakage pit earlier used for discharge of domestic effluent. Now, industry has constructed septic tank for its domestic effluent and approx. 40 more plants were planted in its premises for use of domestic effluent. The industry was guided to maintain the record of ETP operation and fresh water consumed and reused in the washing process.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2021 with usual conditions.
