It is intimated that the subject cited industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through Online under green category. As per amended policy of the Board, the existing process of the industry falls under green category which was earlier falls under red category.
Earlier, the consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were granted by the board which were valid upto 30/06/2018 under red category.
The Industry has deposited Rs. 7,500/- each vide R.No 43/4571 & 44/4571 dated 25/06/2018 as consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 against gross value of fixed assets of Rs. 7,49,200/- as on 31/03/2018 and same is adequate upto 31/03/2029.
As per report already submitted by the industry issued by Tehsildar, Amritsar, vide letter no. NIL dated 08/12/2017, the industry is located at 800 mts. from the lal laqir of the village and no religious place falls near the industry.
To process the application, the industry was visited on 25/06/2018 and observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation and was engaged in manufacturing of cardboard.
2. The industry has installed 02 no. cardboard manufacturing machines.
3. The industry has provided tanks for storing waste generating from the process and was re-circulating all waste water.
4. The industry has not installed any D.G. Set / furnace / Boiler.
If approved:-
Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31/12/2028 for manufacturing of Cardboard @ 900 Kg/per day from Waste Paper & Sludge under green category. |
