It is submitted that the industry has submitted that due to typing mistake the quantity of effluent generation was mentioned as 75KLD instead of 150 KLD and has requested to consider the effluent generation as 150KLD. The last consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 was also granted to the industry for the generation of trade effluent @150KLD. Therefore, the effluent generation may be considered as 150KLD.
Further, regarding the waste water minimization measures, it is submitted that the industry has provided the local arrangements reusing the steam condensate and cooling water. The industry has installed the underground concrete tank for the collection of steam condensate through steam traps for further use in the boiler through pump. For cooling water the industry has installed MS tanks for the collection of cooling water and further reuse in the machines. The photographs of the same are enclosed.
The industry has installed 7 winch machines, out of which 4 no. winch machines are not being used by the industry & were found without connection.
In view of above, it is recommended that short time consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for generation of effluent 150KLD only with usual conditions and special conditions that the 4 winch machines of the industry which are not in operation may be sealed and industry may be asked to submit the time bound plan to remove its remaining winch machines.
