The industry was earlier granted consent vide no. LDH-II/WPC/2011/F-401 dated 03.05.2011 valid upto 30.06.2018 under Water Act, 1974 & vide no. LDH-II/APC/2011/F-643 dated 03.05.2011 valid upto 30.06.2018 under Air Act, 1981.
Now, the industry has applied for the renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 online system. Accordingly, the site of the industry was visited by AEE on 20.06.2018 and it was observed as under :-
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in the casting process (sewing machine parts).
2. The industry has installed one cupola furnace of less than 3 TPH capacity with wet cap as APCD designed by PSCST vide no. PSCST/CC/162 dated 10.08.2010 with adequate stack height, same was not in operation during the visit.
3. No trade effluent is generated from the process and domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. Entire cooling water is re-circulating.
4. The industry has installed one D.G set in its premises, with canopy.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Prevention of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions. (Competency Environmental Engineer, Regional Office)
