It is intimated that the industry is a small-scale red category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. R14LDH2CTOW936803 dated 20.03.2014 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R14LDH2CTOA936643 dated 20.03.2014, which are valid upto 30.06.2018 for production of M.V. Parts, Fasteners, Railway Track Fittings @ 3.75 TPD.
Now, industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith documents through OCMMS. The industry has added one induction heating machine along with other non-polluting machinery and has submitted Rs. 9000/- as NOC regularization fee, which is adequate.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 27.06.2018 and observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in the process of auto part etc.
2. The industry has installed various power presses.
3. The industry has installed few CNC & VMC machines.
4. The industry has installed 03 electrical tempering furnace & shaker hearth hardening furnace.
5. The industry has also installed one shot blasting machine with inbuilt bag house as APCD.
6. The industry has installed 02 D.G. sets of capacities one of 280 KVA & one of 62 KVA with acoustic enclosure to the room in which D.G. sets are placed.
7. There is no source of trade effluent generation and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
8. The site of the industry falls in Industrial Area-B, Ludhiana
9. The industry is complying with the conditions of earlier consents granted to it.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed to the industry for 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
