The industry was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-1/WPC/2013/V-4361 dated 05.07.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-1/APC/2013/V-3352 dated 05.07.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018. The industry has now applied for renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited by officer of this office on 03.07.2018 and observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in manufacturing of auto parts.
2. The industry has installed 1 no. electric auto black furnace with hood and adequate stack height and 3 no. electric heat treatment furnaces.
3. The industry has installed 2 no. D.G sets of capacity of capacity 220 KVA & 40 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
4. The industry has installed water meter at fresh water supply leading to the auto black section and the reading during visit was 4.52 KL.
5. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., (CETP) for lifting of trade effluent @ 10000 Ltr/month.
6. The industry has provided a storage tank for effluent of capacity approx. 5000 Ltr.
7. The industry has lastly lifted its effluent to (CETP) @ 3500 ltr vide R. no. 309887 dated 29.06.2018.
8. The industry has installed new separator water meter at fresh water supply leading to acid pickling section and the reading during visit was 73.12 KL.
9. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., (Re-processor) for lifting of trade effluent @ 5000 Ltr/month.
10. The industry has lastly lifted its spent acid to re-processor @ 2000 ltr vide manifest no. 42076 dated 21.05.2018.
11. The industry has maintained the record of water meter reading and effluent lifted properly.
12. The domestic effluent is being discharge into sewer.
13. The industry has submitted the building plans approved from competent person under Director of Factories, Punjab.
14. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/297 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana
15. The industry is now complying with conditions of previous consents granted to it under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of the above, it is recommended that renewal 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with suitable condition please.
