The industry was earlier granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 vide no. R16LDH1CTOW3852704 dated 04.04.2016 valid upto 30.06.2018 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. LDH R16LDH1CTOW3852637 dated 04.04.2016 valid upto 30.06.2018. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The applications of the industry have been scrutinized and the details are verified by AEE of the office as per documents submitted by the industry which are as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit it is a cupola furnace.
2. The industry has installed 01 no. copula furnace of capacity less than 3 TPH in which hard coke as fuel is being is used. The industry has provided wet cap as APCD with the copula furnace designed as per technology by Punjab State Council of Science & Technology, Chandigarh as per office letter no. PSCST/CC/144 dated 29.11.2004
3. The industry does not generate any trade effluent only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has installed 01 no. D.G set of capacity 40 KVA in dismantled condition.
5. The site of the industry falls in medium & heavy industrial zone as per notified master plan (2007-21).
6. The gross fixed assets of the industry have increased from Rs. 4.73/- Lacs as on 31.03.2012 to Rs. 08.04 Lacs as on 31.03.2018 with increase in plant & machinery from 03.71 Lacs to 07.01 Lacs. The industry has submitted fee amounting Rs. 1500/- vide R. No. 18/4738 dated 05.07.2018 which includes NOC regularization fee & application form fee. Moreover, the industry has submitted detail of addition made in plant & machinery, according to which non-polluting machinery i.e. crane has been installed.
7. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/723 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana.
8. The industry is complying with the previous consent conditions granted to the industry under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
9. The competency to grant the consent lies with Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-I, Ludhiana
In view of the above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions. |
