The agenda note and report / recommendations of EE, RO, SAS Nagar may kindly be perused.
From the perusal of consent agenda note / documents uploaded online, the following observations are made:
i) Earlier, the industry was granted water consent on 6/2/2017 for generation & discharge of trade effluent @ 2.5 KLD, whereas now the industry has executed agreement with the operator of CETP for disposal of trade effluent @ 10,000 lt./month.
ii) The copy of agreement executed with the operator of CETP is not uploaded online.
iii) As per consent agenda note, the industry is maintaining record of consumption of fresh water as well as disposal of trade effluent to CETP. But the said record uploaded by the industry is not proper indicating very casual approach towards maintenance of record.
iv) The industry has applied for renewal of 'consents to operate' whereas the industry is required to fresh consents due to change of mode of disposal.
v) The industry has installed electric furnace for meling of raw material and not installed any air pollution control device, whereas such type of other units have installed air pollution control device.
If approved, the applications submitted by the industry for renewal of consents may be returned and advised to re-submit the same alongwith reply of above said observations (Competency ZO) please.
