It is intimated that the above said industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 No. R16JALCTOW3132168 dated 23.02.2016 valid upto 30.06.2016 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 No. R16JALCTOA3723029 dated 20.04.2016 valid upto 30.06.2017.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 05.07.2018 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in the manufacturing of Job work of Nickle plating and hand pump parts. The industry has installed 1 no. copula furnace with wet cap as APCD. The industry has installed 1 no. shot blasting machine with bag house as APCD. The industry has installed electroplating unit. The industry has installed 1 No. collection tank of capacity about 4200 ltr. The industry has made agreement with the M/s JBR technology for lifting trade effluent @ 2000 ltr/month. During visit water meter reading was noted as 0076.21. The industry is maintaining record of water consumption in process as water effluent lifting by JBR Technology, Ldh. During the visit the industry has stored approx. 1600 ltr trade effluent in the tank. The industry has last lifted trade effluent to M/s JBR Technology pvt Ltd 2000 ltr on dated 30.06.2018. The domestic effluent is discharge into sewer. The industry has submitted MTP certificate vide no. 1396 dated 16.02.2016 mentioning that the industry falls in General Industrial Zone. The industry has submitted approved building plan from Director of Factories.
The industry has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.06.2023. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
