Subject: Application for renewal of the validity of ‘Consent to operate’ already granted to the industry under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 by M/s Dashmesh Stone Crusher, Village Khizrabad, Tehsil Kharar, Distt. SAS Nagar.
The unit was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-1/SAS Nagar/WPC/2011-12/F-622 dated 25.11.2011 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-1/SAS Nagar/APC/2011-12/F-662 dated 25.11.2011, both of which were 24.05.2012. The validity of the said consents were lastly extended upto 30.06.2018, for screening cum washing of aggregates @ 3,000 cft/day, subject to suitable conditions.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of the said Consents to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, along with documents such as compliance of conditions of the previously granted consents, latest CA certificate, consent fee adequate upto 30.6.2020, undertaking etc.
It is added here that stone crushers/ screening-cum-washing plants are covered under ‘Orange category’ and, as per the office order dated 02.20.2016, issued by the Board, the green and orange category of industries shall be granted renewal of consents under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 without visiting the site of the industry. As such, the site of the industry was not visited to verify the compliances.
It is added here that along with the online application from, the industry has submitted following undertaking:-
The industry has deposited Rs. 14900/- vide R. No. 89/4615 dated 03.07.2018, against the total investment of Rs. 37.8 lacs. The industry has submitted C.A. certificate, wherein, total investment has been mentioned as Rs 37.8 lacs, as such, the fee deposited by the industry on account of the Consent fee under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is adequate upto 30.06.2022.
In view of above, the industry may be granted renewal of consent to operate of the board already granted to the industry under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.09.2021, along with suitable conditions.
