It is submitted that the industry is cupola furnace existing unit. The industry was earlier consent granted under Water Act, 1974 vide no. R14LDH2CTOW1040636 dated 31/03/2014 having validity upto 30/06/2018 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. R15LDH2CTOA2465411 dated 26/03/2015 having validity upto 30/06/2019.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 alongwith documents under orange category for production of C.I Castings @ 168 MT/Year. The industry has deposited consent fee of Rs. 4500/- vide R. No. 83/4604 dated 05/07/2018 under Water Act, 1974. The fee is adequate upto 31/03/2024 including the earlier deposited consent fee.
It is further submitted that as per circular no. CEE (HQ)/F.No./957/2016/59 dated 02/02/2016, the case for renewal of NOC/Consent to operate for Orange & Green category industries is to be processed based on self-certification submitted by the industry to the effect that it is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Accordingly, the industry has submitted compliance report of conditions imposed in the consents granted to it under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and as per compliance report, it is complying with the conditions of consents.
Futher, the industry is situated in the designated Focal Point of Khanna at D-90-91, Focal Point, Khanna.
In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2022 subject to suitable conditions.
