The industry was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-I/WPC/2012/V-3993 dated 18.05.2012 extended upto 30.06.2018 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-I/APC/2012/V-2983 dated 18.05.2012 extended upto 30.06.2018. The industry has now applied for renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The facts have also been verified by officer of this office during visit to the industry on 18.07.2018 and the details are as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit & is engaged in process of manufacturing of sewing machine parts i.e. shuttle.
2. There is no generation of trade effluent.
3. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has installed sand barreling section & vibrating section comprising of 03 no. vibrating machines. Effluent generated from these sections is re-circulated separately for re-using back in the process.
5. The industry has installed 1 no. electrically operated annealing furnace & has installed machinery for machining process.
6. The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 320 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
7. The gross fixed assets of the industry have increased from Rs. 41.65/- Lacs as on 14.11.2013 to Rs. 49.31/- Lacs as on 31.03.2018 with increase in plant & machinery from Rs. 18.87/- Lacs to Rs. 25.86/- Lacs. The industry has submitted fee amounting Rs. 2000/- vide R no. 81/4738 dated 18.07.2018 as NOC regularization fee. Moreover, the industry has submitted detail of addition made in plant & machinery, according to which the industry has installed vibrating section comprising of 03 no. vibrating machines apart from other non-polluting machinery.
8. The industry has submitted the building plan approved from Director of Factories, Punjab.
9. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/641 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana.
10. The industry is complying with the provisions of previous consents granted to it under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that the 'Consent to Operate' renewal of under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board. |
