The industry was earlier granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-I/WPC/2013/V-4353 dated 18.06.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-I/APC/2013/F-3343 dated 18.06.2013 valid upto 30.06.2018 for red category. Now, the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 The industry has now applied for renewal 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 and falls under orange category as per new categorization of the Board. The industry was visited by the officer of this on 17.07.2018 and verified above mentioned facts & observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in manufacturing of auto parts & arms.
2. The industry does not generate any trade effluent only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
3. The industry has installed 2 no. electric shot blast machine with adequate stack height and bag filter as APCD.
4. The industry has installed 2 no. FO fired forging furnaces (with adequate stack height) with hammer and 2 no. of billet heater with hammers.
5. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 500 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
6. The industry has submitted the detail of increased plant and machinery of the industry from previous CA certificate. The industry has deposited NOC regularization fee regarding this.
7. The industry has submitted the building plan approved from competent person under Director of Factories, Punjab.
8. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/275 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana.
9. The industry is complying with the conditions of previous consent granted under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2022 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board please.
