Earlier the consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 was granted 30/06/2018. Now the industry has applied for extension in validity of same. The industry was visited by AEE RO on 13/07/2018 and observed that:- 1. The industry was engaged in the process of manufacturing of nuts & bolts including the pickling and wire drawing process. 2. The industry has constructed pickling tanks 06 nos. out of which 02 nos. are not good shape and other tanks were filled with effluent for pickling. 3. The industry has maintained the record for the process water consumption @ 14,500 ltrs, whereas the effluent got lifted in this period by M/s JBR Technologies Ltd. is @ 11,000 ltrs as per manifests issued w.e.f. Sept. 2017 to till date, in addition to that some 3500 ltrs effluent lying stored in the tanks for pickling, which is found OK and balanced. 4. It is pertinent to mention here that the industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technologies, Focal Point, Ludhiana for shifting of its trade effluent. The industry has installed water meter on the process water consumption line leading to the pickling process. If approved SCN for reply within 10 days may be issued as the 2 no. tanks are not in good shape alongwith industry may be asked to submit agreement made with M/s JBR to this office |
