As per record , the industry has a small scale of orange category hardening and tempering furnace unit. Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 198 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide no. R14JALCTOW959035 dated 21.03.2014 valid upto 30.06.2018 and Vide no. R14JALCTOA958809 dated 21.03.2014 valid upto 30.06.2018. Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Rs. 35000/- vide No. 06/4725 dated 11.07.2018 and Rs. 10,000 vide no. 47/4725 dated 16.07.2018 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 Rs. 35000/- vide No. 07/4725 dated 11.07.2018 and Rs. 10,000 vide no. 48/4725 dated 16.07.2018 under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Rs. 7,000 vide no. 46/4725 dated 16.07.2018 which is adequate upto ---. The industry was visited by the AEE 12.7.2018 and observed that the industry was in operation. The industry has engaged in manufacturing of Leaf spring kamani (auto parts etc.). The industry has installed 2 no electric hardening and tempering furnace with oil quenching with adequate stack. The industry has also installed 1 oil fired hardening and tempering furnace with stack in not operational condition. The industry has installed 1 no shot blasting machine with inbuilt bag house as APCD along with power presses, CNC and other general machinery. The industry is not generating any trade effluent and only domestic effluent discharged in to M.C sewer. The industry has also submitted the approved site plan from Punjab Factory Act approved architect. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Keeping in view of above, if approved, consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 as amended in 1988 may granted upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.(Competency Senior Environmental Engineer) |
