Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar has clarified that as per the office order issued by the Board vide no. 271 dated 10/10/2011 the marriage palace is required to get certificate issued by the Municipal Council/ Nagar Panchayat/ Notified area committee to the effect that the site is suitable as per the statutory/ non- statutory Master Plan and their bye-laws and/ or submit building plan duly approved by the said authority. In this regard, it is submitted that the marriage palace was asked to submit approved building plan and he has submitted a copy of letter issued by MC Roopnagar, wherein it has been mentioned that the site of the marriage palace is within the MC limits of the Roopnagar the regularization of the marriage palace shall be carried out only after receiving the NOC of the Punjab Pollution Control Board. Accordingly, Regional Office has recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, may be granted upto 30.09.2021, subject to suitable conditions and an additional condition that the marriage palace shall submit get the building plan got approved by MC Roopnagar and shall submit the same in the office within 3 days of obtaining the same. It is pertinent to mention here that as reported by the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Patiala in the case of M/s Vatika Farms that the consent to operate be granted to the marriage palaces as per officer meeting decision dated 06/07/2017 subject to condition that the project proponent shall submit the approved building plan from the authority concerned. In view of the facts mentioned above, if approved, consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2021, subject to suitable conditions and specific condition that the marriage palace shall get the approved building plan from MC Roopnagar and submit the same to the Board within one month, please. |
