File Note: It is submitted that the industry is an existing rice sheller and was granted consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide nos. BTI/W-2/120/F-175 and BTI/A-2/153/F-338 dt. 30.10.2003, valid upto 30.09.2018 for operation of rice sheller unit to produce raw rice @ 1 TPH without dryer, subject to the conditions mentioned therein. Now, the industry has applied for varied consents to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, as the industry has installed sortex machine in its premises, through online system of the Board on 12.07.2018 along with CA certificate amounting to Rs. 45.06 Lacs of fixed assets of the industry and compliance reports of consent conditions. As per the CA certificate submitted by the industry, the industry has deposited consent fee of Rs. 12,000/- each under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide R.No. 51/4758 dt. 18.07.2018 & 50/4758 dt. 18.07.2018, which are adequate upto 30.09.2023. Further, the industry has deposited Rs. 1500/- vide R.No. 49/4758 dt. 18.07.2018 as NOC fee for installation of sortex machine and Rs. 6100/- vide R.No. 53/4758 dt. 18.07.2018 as advance air sample fee. No notice is pending in the office regarding any violation of provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. Moreover, no complaint has been received in this office against the industry regarding causing any pollution by its operation. The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as well as code of practice prescribed by the Govt. vide order dt. 15.10.2013. As per prevailing policy of the Board regarding auto renewal of consents granted to the industry, it is recommended that the validity of consents granted under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be extended upto 30.09.2023 for the production of raw rice / sorted rice @ 1 TPH without dryer, with same terms and conditions along with that the industry will submit the analysis report of process emissions of all stacks from Board’s lab with one month after re-commissioning of unit for coming paddy season 2018-19.
