File Note: It is intimated that the said unit is a small scale orange category unit and was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-II/RO-IV/ WPC/2013/F-990 & ZO-II/RO-IV/ APC/2013/F-934 dated 06.08.2013, both are valid upto 31.03.2018 with certain conditions mentioned therein. Now, the project proponent has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has submitted Latest CA Certificate, location plan, layout plan, flow chart, DTP certificate, Analysis report, revised building plan, details of increase, request letter. The fixed assets of the restaurant have been increased from 4.96 Cr. to 5.46 Cr. The project proponent has submitted that the increase is due to the construction of residence of Managing Director of the Restaurant, no sitting/ gathering of guests has been increased. The project proponent has deposited the requisite NOC fee for increase and revised approved building plan of the same. The restaurant was visited by AEE of this office on 27.06.2018 and it was observed that  The restaurant has provided a STP for the treatment of effluent generated from the premises. The STP consists of bar screen, Oil & grease trap, collection tank, aeration tank, tube settler, pre-filtration tank, MGF & Final discharge.  The treated effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation & gardening after STP.  The effluent samples were collected by this office on 27.06.2018 and as per analysis report received from Zonal Office Lab, Ludhiana, the results are confirming to the standards laid down by the Board for discharge of treated effluent onto land for plantation.  The hotel has installed 1 no. of DG set of capacity 125 KVA equipped with canopy and adequate stack height.  The project proponent has also provided duct in the kitchen area to arrest the air emissions generated during kitchen activity and the hood is further connected through the stack height, which is more than 10’ from the roof top.  The hotel has submitted DTP certificate vide no. 1566 dated 10.05.2011 mentioning that the site of the restaurant falls under mix land use zone. Further, the project proponent has submitted DTP certificate vide no. 1520 dated 05.06.2015 address to the subject cited unit stating in agenda note. (copy enclosed) Keeping in view of above, it is, therefore, recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the restaurant upto 30.06.2023 with suitable terms and conditions please.
