• It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit and engaged in the process of Finished Leather.
• The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981, valid upto 30.06.2018.
• Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
• As per application of the industry, the industry has installed one wood fired baby boiler with stack and auto spray machines at site.
• As per application of the industry, the industry has installed electric heater for the treatment/ disposal of the effluent at site and has also mentioned in its application form, the disposal of domestic effluent into sewer.
• As per office order issued by the Board vide Head Office letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016, all the orange and green categories units shall be processed on the basis of document submitted by the industry without site verification within 7 days.
• The industry is small scale orange category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer.
In view of above, it is recommended that:-
1. Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2022 with usual conditions with the special condition the industry will not discharge any trade effluent into sewer at site.
2. Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2022 with usual conditions.
