It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit and was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2016/4801778 dated 07.12.2016 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2016/4801727 dated 07.12.2016, upto 30.06.2018 for production of Powder Coating on job basis i.e. tractor parts channel, lift plate @ 1000 Kgs/day.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS.
It is intimated that the site of the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 28.07.2018 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation at the time of visit.
2. The industry is carrying out powder coating on job basis.
3. The industry has installed one electric baking oven and one powder coating booth with inbuilt cyclone as APCD & adequate stack height.
4. The industry has also installed one diesel fired baking oven which was found in dismantled condition.
5. There is no generation of trade effluent and only domestic effluent was being discharged into sewer.
6. The industry has not installed any DG set in its premises.
7. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it.
The industry is situated in Bhagwan Chowk, Janta Nagar which is industrial mix zone area as per Master Plan, Ludhiana. Now, the Board has issued order vide no. 21 dated 08.06.2018 regarding continuation of operation of Industrial establishments in mixed Land use/non-designated area of Ludhiana upto 15 years from date of notification of the master plan which were established before the notification of the Master Plan, Ludhiana.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed to the industry for 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
