The report of the industry regarding violation of the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 was sent to the Zonal office vide this office letter no. 748 dt. 09.02.2018 and w.r.t. the Zonal Office vide its letter no. 739 dt. 01.03.2018 has requested this office to visit the industry, verify the compliance of the NOC conditions and to submit the detailed report with recommendations.
Now, the industry has applied for consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited by JEE of this office on 08.08.2018 and was found complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is, therefore, recommended that consent to operate may be granted to the industry for production of raw rice / sorted rice @ 2 TPH without dryer for a period valid upto 30.09.2022, subject to the usual conditions alongwith the following specific conditions : -
• The industry shall comply with the air emissions discharge standards prescribed by the MoEF vide notification no.G.S.R.152(E) dt. 16th March, 2012.
• The industry will get its air emission sample analyzed from the Board’s lab in the coming paddy processing season i.e. 2018-19.
